Costumed Programs – When I first started presenting in costume, over 30 years ago, I realized very quickly that if I wanted people to remember what I was saying I first had to get them to care about the people I was talking about. By the end of one of my presentations, my audience will have felt the pain of a 20 mile day along the Oregon Trail. They will remember the frightened cries of FIRE!! from 1849 when half of the City of St. Louis burned to the ground or, they will feel the heartache and suffering of a Civil War prisoner held at Gratiot Street Prison in downtown St. Louis, where 100’s died. My goal is Not to get you to just learn something about our shared past, but to feel as if you had actually been there. Before every program, I set the stage - meaning I let the audience know where they are, what year it is, who I am, and what journey we are about to undertake. As I like to say, “I am Not some ghost from the past that has come to visit You, You have come Back to the Past to Visit ME…..” (Click Here)
Powerpoint Presentations – These programs are designed to be educational, entertaining and visually stimulating with numerous pictures used to help explain the story! If necessary, I can bring all the needed equipment - laptop, projector, etc. and can throw a bright, colorful picture on most any surface up to 10 feet square. I have a clear, loud speaking voice that puts any audience at ease.
Different organizations have widely different interests, so over the years I have put together nearly 20 different programs from which you can choose, and am always creating more. If you don’t see something you like or need, contact me and we will see if I can accommodate you. Presentations last between 45 and 60 minutes including the Q&A. (Listed Below)
